Dr. Marc Zahradnik, C.Psych.

Dr. Zahradnik provides psychodiagnostic assessment and psychotherapeutic services to both adolescents and adults.


Dr. Zahradnik’s training has covered both the assessment and treatment of the full range of anxiety and mood disorders. His theoretical orientation is primarily cognitive-behavioral; however, he also incorporates emotionally-focused, acceptance and commitment, and interpersonal theories into his practice.

Dr. Zahradnik believes that the ultimate purpose of therapy is to help the individual improve his or her quality of life and, as such, he works collaboratively with his clients to help them set, reach, and maintain their goals. Dr. Zahradnik works with his clients to achieve meaningful change by helping them explore how feelings, thoughts, and behaviours interact with each other, and how changes in one area can often lead to changes in others.

While everyone gets angry from time to time, some people have rage reactions or explosive outbursts which emotionally or even physically hurt other people in their surroundings. Even the intense direct expression of anger can be problematic if people do not control where and when they express anger. These days, tolerance for intense, angry behaviour is low, even if expressed only in words. Angry outbursts can be considered abusive and can result in reprimands in the work place or fines and charges in public places.
